The Full Story
About
My name is Charlie Chambers, I founded Cross Carriers with my main focus being to follow
through with the great commission, “making disciples of all nations baptizing them in the
name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Matthew 28:19” with a big emphasis on disciple. In
order to do that we have to be cross carriers, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16:24”. That’s exactly what we
plan to do, my flesh has taken me to many places and always away from God, alcohol
abuse, marihuana, sexual immorality and many more sinful decisions on my part. It took
another person discipling me to understand my walk with God did not have to be this
constant roller coaster with sin. Before I wasted my time and money on drugs and alcohol, I
rode bulls and was advancing in the PRCA. Just as my dreams and goals were being played
out I was injured and out of rodeo for several months, in this time depression set in and the
what ifs. I let that lead me to drinking, using drugs and sleeping around to fill the void.
When I had finally reached the bottom of that pit I didn’t have enough money or mental
strength to get back into riding bulls but I knew I didn’t want to be where I was again. God
sent someone to me at that time that spent countless hours teaching me, discipling me,
living by example of what it means to have a relationship with God. This person later
became my wife and is still doing the same for me today.
In my travels I have seen the same in many guys especially being able to travel and coach
bull riding, they want to have a relationship with Christ but do not know where to get help or
what it looks like to fully submit to Jesus as Lord. I also believe that the men in the church
today lack the manliness that God has instilled in us. It’s more like once you’re a believer in
Christ you have to be soft and a push over but that is far from it and another reason why I
wanted to go into ministry along with showing people how to walk with God daily and the
commitment that takes.
We want to share the good news of Jesus Christ and just as much as that we want to show
others what submission to Christ as Lord looks like, how to serve Him and stay the course
to life eternal. To do this we travel from one side of the country to another sharing our
testimonies and explaining the gospel using the platforms God has given us, rodeo events,
men’s conferences, clinics and speaking engagements. Our goal in this is to reach as many
possible and make meaningful relationships to help build each other up, plugging people
into Churches, other godly people, and giving them the guidance needed to pursue God.

Mission
At Cross Carriers, we are dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We strive to live as "cross carriers," following Christ’s call to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. Through our personal testimonies and the power of discipleship, we aim to guide others in a deep and committed relationship with God, helping them navigate life's challenges and experience the transformative power of faith. Our mission is to share the gospel, model authentic submission to Christ, and inspire others to live with purpose and strength, as God intended. Through rodeo events, men's conferences, clinics, and speaking engagements, we seek to build meaningful relationships, connect people to local churches, and equip them with the tools needed to pursue God and live out their faith boldly.
Vision
Our vision at Cross Carriers is to cultivate a community where authentic discipleship thrives, transforming lives through a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We aim to raise up men and women who are committed to following Christ, carrying their crosses daily, and discipling others in the faith. By providing guidance, support, and teaching, we seek to equip believers to walk in obedience, grow in spiritual maturity, and fulfill God’s call on their lives. Through personal mentorship and purposeful connections, we envision a movement where discipleship is not just a process, but a way of life, empowering individuals to share the gospel, build lasting relationships, and lead others to a life of true freedom and purpose in Christ.
